Free Autism Screenings
HART 4 Autism provides free autism screenings for families throughout the state of Florida. We administer age-appropriate screening tools to help identify potential developmental concerns.

For Children:
Screenings are available if you suspect your child may show symptoms of autism. The process includes a brief observation of your child and a short interview with a parent or guardian and one of our certified examiners.

For Adults:
Screenings are available if you suspect that you display symptoms of autism. The process includes a brief interview with one of our certified examiners.

Examiners will select an appropriate screening tool based on the individual's age. Some examples of screening tools used are M-CHAT-R/F (18 and 30 months of age), STAT, CAST, or SCQ.

A screening for Autism typically takes 15–20 minutes to complete. The goal of the screening is to help determine whether a formal evaluation may be needed. It’s important to note that a positive screening result does not constitute a formal diagnosis. If the results indicate characteristics associated with autism, we recommend that the family pursue a Comprehensive Developmental Evaluation (CDE) to determine whether a formal diagnosis of autism is appropriate.
