What is ADOS-2 Testing

A person on the Autism spectrum will benefit extensively from professional services, including Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapy. However, insurance companies require an official diagnosis to access said services. The ADOS-2 is one piece of the total comprehensive diagnostic evaluation (CDE) required by insurance companies, including Medicaid, that is needed to receive the necessary services to move forward. 

The ADOS-2 Assessment takes 60-90 minutes to administer, and includes a series of activities and questions that allow Dr. Kerri Duncan to observe and assess behaviors and responses to determine whether a diagnosis is appropriate.  Additional questionnaires and evaluation tools are used to create a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation (CDE).   The process is tailored to your child’s current needs, taking into account communication skills, verbal vs. nonverbal, play ability, and more.
